Aussie Wines!

Hi and welcome to my wine blog!

My name is Alex Russell. I have been working in the Australian wine industry as a retailer for 7 years (as of 2009) and am fortunate enough to be able to taste some of the most amazing wines that Australia and the world have to offer. In particular, I really love finding new or little-known labels that make amazing wine, rather than the big labels.

I am also in the middle of a postgraduate degree, looking at taste and smell perception using wine as a stimulus. As I find results from this, I will post them in the blog too.

My work is at Rose Bay Drive In Liquor Store in Sydney, Australia. I travel through Australian wine regions and I hope to travel through regions that the rest of the world has to offer too.
